A well-established, privately owned small animal hospital in Flower Mound, TX is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking for strong mentorship, clinical autonomy, a manageable caseload and genuine opportunities to develop their skills across general practice, surgery, dentistry and diagnostic imaging.

Build Your Caseload Around Your Interests

The practice offers flexibility to develop your role around the areas of veterinary medicine you enjoy most.

If you enjoy urgent care or emergency medicine, there are opportunities to gain additional exposure and develop your skills.

However, emergency and urgent care work is entirely optional.

You can instead focus primarily on general practice, preventative medicine, consultations and routine medical and surgical cases.

There is also access to ultrasound, providing opportunities to further develop your diagnostic imaging skills.

Varied & Manageable Caseload

The hospital sees approximately 1015 patients per day, including:

  • Pre-booked appointments
  • Walk-in cases
  • Preventative medicine
  • General medical cases
  • Routine soft-tissue surgery
  • Advanced dentistry
  • Optional urgent care
  • Optional emergency cases

The team is also open to investing in additional equipment to support the successful veterinarian's clinical interests.

Modern Facilities & Equipment

The hospital provides a modern clinical environment with:

  • Digital dental radiography access

  • Approximately 5 support colleagues per DVM
Schedule

The full-time schedule operates on a predictable two-week rotation:

Week 1

  • 4 midweek days
  • 8:30 AM6:00 PM
  • 1-hour lunch

Week 2

  • 4 midweek days
  • 8:30 AM6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM3:00 PM

Alternate Saturdays required.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Up to $150K base salary, DOE
  • 20% monthly production

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be:

  • DVM/VMD licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas
  • Passionate about high-quality small animal medicine
  • Keen to develop their clinical skills
  • Interested in surgery, dentistry or diagnostic imaging
  • Interested in urgent/emergency medicine if desired, but this is not required
  • A strong communicator with excellent client-care skills
