Outside Sales Associate (Bilingual in Chinese)

A Japanese food trading company is seeking an Outside Sales Associate

• Meet the monthly and annual sales target as designated by the manager
• Visit customers to provide support, information, and sell the Company’s products
• Coordinate with the accounting department to assure the collection of payment in a timely manner
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapport
• Respond to and communicate with all customers in a timely manner
• Travel and visit out‑of‑town customers bi‑weekly, introducing and selling products
• Coordinate urgent deliveries with the customer to accommodate their needs
• Educate customers on how the products or services can benefit them
• Input and update orders within the Company database accordingly
• Maintain and safely navigate the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy
• Participate in weekly meetings
• Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours
• Perform other duties as required by manager
• Obligated to answer to all management as requested

• Business level English – Read/write/speak/listen
• Business level Chinese required – Read/write/speak/listen
• Has a valid driver license and maintains a clean driving record
• Able to periodically stay overnight in out‑of‑town to visit clients
• Maintains a positive attitude
• Able to work independently and as a team
• Able to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload
• High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred
• 2+ years of sales experience required; 5+ years of sales experience preferred – Some front‑of‑house restaurant experience will be considered

• Basic mathematical knowledge – markups, discounts, converting measurements, counting inventory, etc.
• Problem‑solving skills
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Japanese foods and sakes

• Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours, including long hour driving
• Able to sit in a car for extended periods of time
• Able to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
• Able to use the phone for extended periods of time
