Certified Crane Operator
McMillen, Inc. is looking for a Certified Crane Operator. The right candidate will be willing to perform other related duties outside the cab in addition to operating the crane. We are a drug‑free workplace, and you must consent to drug test and background checks.
The Operator's function is to safely operate our Lattice Boom Crawler Manitowoc 555. The operator must have good operational skills to produce high‑volume quality work in a safety‑conscious environment and must be able to effectively communicate with boat captains, foremen, and laborers to produce quality work under high‑volume, time‑sensitive conditions.
This position requires 100% travel.
Physical Demands- The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands; must frequently stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above shoulders.
- Occasionally lift and/or move from 75 to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stopping, and handling of materials.
- Repetitive use of hands and wrists using power, rotational, and vibration tools.
- Functions with regular supervision from managers/supervisors.
- Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Must be willing to get out of equipment and assist with laborer duties as needed.
- NCCCO Crane Certification for Lattice Boom Crawler and RT cranes
- Crawler crane experience is required
- Prior experience operating cranes on water is preferred
- Pass a drug test and background check
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation to and from work
Compensation Package: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour; DOE.
