About the roleThe Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end transportation operations for our DFW station, ensuring cost-efficient, on-time pickup and delivery performance. This role leads carrier performance management, dispatch planning, and transportation compliance, while continuously driving improvements in service reliability and cost control.
Key responsibilities- Manage daily transportation operations including linehaul, last-mile dispatch, and inbound/outbound scheduling
- Ensure on-time performance (OTP) across all routes and hubs, proactively addressing service gaps
- Optimize transportation cost per shipment while maintaining service quality standards
- Manage relationships with carriers, drivers, and third-party logistics providers
- Monitor truck utilization, route efficiency, and capacity planning to support network growth
- Coordinate closely with warehouse and station teams to ensure seamless handover of goods
- Handle exception management including delays, missed pickups, and capacity shortages
- Implement and enforce transportation SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
- Drive data-informed decision-making through KPI tracking and reporting (cost, OTP, utilization)
- Bachelor’s degree or above;
Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred - 3–8 years of experience in transportation or logistics operations
- Strong understanding of last-mile delivery or hub-and-spoke network models
- Proven experience managing carriers or fleet operations
- Strong analytical skills with an operational, problem‑solving mindset
- Fluent English required; additional language skills are an advantage
- Proven track record of cost reduction and operational improvement
- Proficiency with TMS, WMS, and YMS platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with change management and cross-functional leadership
