Shipping-Receiving Clerk

The Shipping‑Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the flow of incoming and outgoing shipments in the warehouse.

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday

• Verifying and recording details of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Preparing items for shipment, ensuring all shipments are properly labeled and packaged according to quality and productivity standards
• Comparing identifying information, count, weight, or measure items against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
• Unpacking, examining, and routing incoming shipments; rejecting damaged items; recording shortages; and communicating with shippers to resolve damages and shortages
• Reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
• Performing all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods
• Maintaining an adequate supply of shipping materials at all times
• Keeping the work area and equipment clean and orderly
• Following warehouse safety regulations
• Completing other duties assigned based on the business the warehouse supports

• Comfortable working autonomously
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion
• Competent in maintaining accurate and organized records
• Basic knowledge of computer programs for data entry
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment

• Previous experience in a high‑volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service, or forward logistics operation is a plus
• Ability to handle basic issues and refer more complex issues to higher‑level staff
• Time‑management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience

• Warehouse environment
• Must be able to lift and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Requires extended periods of standing and walking
