Shipping Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to lead outbound operations within a fast-paced distribution environment. This position is responsible for ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time while leading a team of warehouse associates and driving operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who enjoys being on the warehouse floor, developing employees, and improving processes to support customer satisfaction and business goals.

• Supervise day‑to‑day shipping operations including picking, packing, staging, and shipment processing.
• Lead and develop a team of 16–40 warehouse associates.
• Manage labor schedules and staffing plans to support daily shipping volumes.
• Monitor key performance indicators including on‑time shipments, order accuracy, productivity, and fulfillment metrics.
• Coordinate outbound shipments with UPS, Fed Ex, USPS, and LTL/FTL carriers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and safety procedures.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and shipping software to support efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot shipping issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements and increase operational efficiency.
• Prepare and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.

• 3+ years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or distribution leadership.
• Previous experience supervising employees in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Experience with shipping systems, WMS platforms, and inventory transactions.
• Strong knowledge of parcel and freight shipping processes.
• Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
