Inventory Photographer​/Copywriter

Position Summary

A fast-growing E-Commerce company has an opening for a full-time motivated inventory photographer and copywriter. This dual role position provides integral support to the business by creating quality listings for all collectible merchandise for sale. This position requires sustained focus, consistency, and a high level of personal accountability. The photographer portion is responsible for taking high quality photos of each item highlighting important details as well as cosmetic issues.

Item staging and editing for photographs should meet current company guidelines. The copywriter portion is responsible for providing a detailed product description of each item including important features and factual information along with an individual item description containing cosmetic qualities. Proper syntax and grading is required to keep all listings consistent with company and industry standards. Both roles work together to ensure each item we list for sale is properly described and accurately shown to the customer.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

• Provide high quality photographs of merchandise showcasing all items included in each listing, photographs of the box label/features list (if applicable), photographs of cosmetic issues, and feature photographs showcasing any special attributes of the merchandise
• Develop an understanding of complex processes and internal systems
• Ensure all photographs align with current department guidelines
• Edit, crop, and publish all photos into the database using the correct assigned SKU for the merchandise
• Keep merchandise/carts organized within the department
• Maintain an efficient workflow while keeping a high level of attention to detail
• Ensure work area is kept clean and neat

• Ensure the item’s title uses correct syntax, manufacturer, scale, descriptors, and pertinent features within an 80 character limit
• Provide an accurate feature list for each item
• Properly grade an item using the industry standard TCA grading scale
• Provide a detailed item description including cosmetic issues, operational issues, box condition, included paperwork, and highlighting important selling points
• Use keywords and SEO terminology to expand customer reach
• Promote items with higher values using engaging terminology
• Sort photographs into appropriate viewing order and choose the 12 most appropriate pictures (if more than 12 are provided) to be used on each listing
• Ensure all proper categories, attribution fields, and shipping information are filled out
• Proofread everything for grammatical and spelling errors
• Keep merchandise/carts organized within the department
• Downsize/Condense merchandise as needed
• Maintain an efficient workflow while keeping a high level of attention to detail
• Ensure work area is kept clean and neat
• Any other duties as assigned
