ESOL Lead Teacher – High School

An ESOL Lead Teacher in the High School setting plays a pivotal role in supporting English Learners (ELs) and ensuring program compliance with educational standards. The lead teacher assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating the school's ESOL program, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal guidelines, while teaching and/or co‑teaching ESOL classes.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate the ESOL program.
• Teach and/or co‑teach ESOL classes.
• Provide instructional support and professional development to staff.
• Act as liaison between ESOL department and school stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication between school and EL families.
• Represent ESOL program at meetings (IEPs, retention committees).
• Oversee screening, testing, and placement of ELs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance.

• Hold a PSC Teaching Certificate in a high school content area (English Language Arts preferred).
• Preferably possess ESOL Endorsement.
• Experience working with English Language Learners is desired.
