Job Description & How to Apply Below
We’re looking for an HR & Recruiting Specialist who’s passionate about finding great talent and supporting a positive employee experience. In this role, you’ll lead full-cycle recruiting for a wide range of positions—primarily through hands‑on sourcing and direct candidate engagement—while occasionally partnering with external recruiters for specialized roles.
Beyond recruiting, you’ll also support core HR functions, working closely with the HR Generalist on employee‑related processes and administrative support. This is a great opportunity for a proactive, resourceful HR professional who loves connecting people to the right opportunities and contributing to a strong workplace culture.
What You’ll Do- Own the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating interviews, preparing offers and agreements, facilitating background pre‑screening, and communicating hiring confirmations to HR.
- Partner with department leaders to understand hiring needs and translate them into clear, effective job descriptions.
- Proactively source and network to identify top talent; review resumes, assess qualifications, and recommend candidates.
- Collaborate with external recruiters as needed for niche or hard‑to‑fill roles.
- Track and report recruiting metrics to help improve hiring processes.
- Stay current on recruiting trends, tools, and best practices.
- Assist with bi‑weekly payroll processing, onboarding, benefits administration, policy communication, and other HR initiatives as needed.
- Provide general HR support and serve as backup to the HR Generalist.
- Conduct new‑hire check‑ins at one week and 30 days to assess onboarding progress, gather feedback, and share insights with the HR Generalist.
- Plan, coordinate, and support monthly employee engagement events, including setup and breakdown.
- Maintain and update the monthly employee bulletin board.
- Build strong relationships with employees through regular check‑ins and informal touchpoints.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by reinforcing company values and expectations in daily interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of recruiting experience (in‑house and/or agency), along with general HR exposure.
- Working knowledge of HR functions such as onboarding, employee relations, or benefits administration.
- Strong sourcing skills and experience with recruitment tools and applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to represent our culture of care to candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience working with external recruiters or staffing agencies is a plus.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment or a related industry is helpful but not required.
