Position Title
IV Technician
RoleThis role is responsible for administering the application of intravenous vitamins. The IV Tech will administer vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly to the patient’s body to optimize health and wellness.
Essential Functions- Administer IVs and run fluid therapy for the intravenous process.
- Monitor the client’s response to treatment.
- Manage and prevent infections.
- Assess the client’s physical health including vital signs, physical assessment, mental status, etc.
- Identify contraindications to intravenous therapy for the client.
- Take client’s vitals as needed.
- Document interactions and communication with clients regarding therapy services, assessment, and responses/reactions to treatment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Credentialed as RN (Registered Nurse), Paramedic, ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing), or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse).
- Minimum two years of vascular access or infusion experience.
- Strong venous access skills with ability to access peripheral veins.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical practice functions.
- Excellent intravenous catheter placement skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Must regularly type continuously throughout the day and use hands to type and maneuver a mouse.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without eyeglasses/contacts).
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted.
- Stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods of time.
This position will work eight (8) to ten (10) hour shifts Monday‑Friday and four weekend shifts per month in a general clinic environment with climate control.
