Construction Safety Manager
Location: Jackson, Mississippi (Regional Travel Required)(Other points of origin may be considered)
We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to lead and support safety operations across multiple active construction projects. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing comprehensive safety programs that promote a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive construction safety experience
, with demonstrated leadership in complex, fast-paced project environments. Experience working across heavy civil, commercial, or industrial construction projects is strongly preferred.
- Lead and manage site-specific and company wide safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments across active construction projects
- Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and incident-prevention initiatives for field personnel and management
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports and corrective action plans
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and applicable regulatory requirements
- Serve as a technical safety resource to project managers, superintendents, and field crews
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, records, and reporting metrics
- Support continuous improvement of safety performance and culture throughout the organization
- Minimum 10 years of construction safety experience in a leadership or managerial capacity
- Professional safety certification (such as CSP, CHST, or equivalent) is a plus
- OSHA 500 certification is desired
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with field personnel, supervisors, and executive leadership
- Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills
This position requires frequent overnight travel to visit job sites, support project teams, and enforce safety standards.
