SummaryUnder general supervision, performs a broad range of teller service activities, including posting transactions in a variety of credit union computer systems, managing and balancing cash, and maintaining control of negotiable instruments. Requires a great deal of accuracy and productivity, and supports sales and service initiatives by identifying and referring cross‑sales and distributing marketing materials to members. Must exhibit excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Essential Functions- Properly identifies members and verifies account ownership before transactions.
- Accepts and verifies deposits and payments, performs withdrawals or loan advances, reconciles checks, and processes payoff requests within assigned dollar limits.
- Maintains control of cash by double‑counting all cash received and disbursed and by performing dual‑control purchases and sales with other team members or the vault.
- Resolves members’ concerns, complaints, discrepancies, and problems using available resources, effective use of KFCU computer systems, and product knowledge; refers unresolved issues through the chain of command and tracks them in the CRM.
- Uses Sales and Service training to identify potential member service needs and to promote credit union products and services, utilizing the CRM to create, monitor, and manage sales and referrals.
- Maintains a high level of productivity by meeting or exceeding goals set by the Branch Manager and Regional Director.
- Performs ATM frontline maintenance and balances ATMs in accordance with dual‑control procedures.
- Processes night depository and ATM deposits following credit union procedures and dual‑control requirements.
- Upholds strict confidentiality of all member information.
- Accurately balances cash drawer and cash recyclers daily.
- Maintains proficiency in all computer programs required for teller duties.
- Completes all mandatory training for the teller position and actively participates in training classes.
- Complies with all federal regulations including BSA, OFAC, Reg CC, and the Red Flag Program.
- Assists in maintaining branch appearance and a clean, orderly workspace.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education- High school diploma or GED.
- One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
- Prior cash‑handling or teller experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate PC equipment, teller terminals, printers, calculators, and currency counters accurately and at a generally accepted rate of speed.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work effectively with all management levels and members.
- Excellent basic math skills; accuracy and attention to detail required.
- Can maintain confidentiality and demonstrate dependability in all areas of job duties and attendance.
Includes routine contact with members and vendors, requiring ordinary courtesy and respect.
Computer Skills- Extensive use of personal PC.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook e‑mail.
- Can navigate the internet to search for data and complete online forms.
- Familiar with emerging computer technology, such as mobile devices, imaging technology, and social media.
- Familiar with home‑banking and bill‑pay services.
Active participation and successful completion of Sales and Service training.
Physical DemandsRegularly stands and walks; uses hands to handle, feel, or grasp objects; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears. Frequently sits, kneels, crouches, or stoops. Occasionally lifts or moves 10–15 pounds.
Work EnvironmentExtensive desk‑computer use; normal office noise level, with occasional elevated levels when the branch lobby is busy.
