Summary
Primary Job is to function as a Paramedic conducting patient care from an ambulance. Position is, time allowing, responsible for the daily supervision of the EMS field operations in the absence of senior management. Assures adequate zone coverage, compliance, and serves as Ameri Pro EMS’ liaison with outside responding agencies and personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Supervises day‑to‑day field operation employees in the absence of senior management.
- Ensures field employees have the required equipment to perform their assigned duties.
- Serves as liaison for field staff to other departments (Training, CQI, Payroll, Human Resources, Billing, and Communication).
- Prepares reports on mechanical breakdowns, accident investigation, exposures, daily shift activities, and other incidents.
- Ensures assigned employees adhere to Ameri Pro EMS’ policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
- Ensures that Ameri Pro EMS’ Patient Care Protocols are adhered to.
- Assists the Supervisor and Manager in evaluating employee performance, maintains attendance records, and ensures professionalism.
- Monitors deployment and efficiency; makes decisions concerning IFT, Mutual Aid, and out‑of‑town trips.
- Manages day‑to‑day short‑term scheduling needs.
- Ensures crew TEFs are turned into Operations Supervisor.
- Delivers RTF paperwork to employees on duty.
- Ensures daily duties (truck cleaning, station duties, check offs, etc.) are performed.
- First contact for OJIs, Complaints, Company related Accidents; initiates investigations.
- Completes daily shift report detailing activities.
- Provides guidance and training for new employees and students.
- Works within financial and operational plans for cost‑effectiveness.
- Responds to call scenes with crews, assumes command, and coordinates ambulance transport during Mass Casualty Incidents until relieved.
- Attends regular planning meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates the ability to safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients.
