IDMS & Exchange Engineer

We are looking for an experienced IDMS & Exchange Engineer to administer and optimize Exchange Online and Hybrid environments, including mail flow, transport rules, compliance features, and mailbox provisioning. The role requires deep expertise in Identity Management Systems, with strong hands-on experience in configuring ADFS and WS-FED protocols to support proxy communication between MIDWAY and Exchange. You will manage data retention, legal holds, and compliance reporting in collaboration with the compliance team, while also troubleshooting delivery and performance issues across devices.

• Administer and manage Exchange Online services including mail flow, mailbox policies, hybrid configurations, and compliance features.
• Perform mailbox provisioning, distribution group management, and user support across Exchange Online.
• Maintain and optimize mail routing, transport rules, connectors, and spam filtering (EOP & Microsoft Defender for Office 365).
• Support and maintain Exchange Hybrid configurations with on-premises Exchange (if applicable).
• Perform data retention configuration, archiving, legal holds, and compliance reporting in coordination with the compliance team.
• Troubleshoot mail delivery issues, mailbox performance, and access problems across devices.
• Provide documentation, reporting, and end-user guidance as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6–10 years of experience managing Exchange Online or Exchange Hybrid environments.
• Proven expertise in IDMS (Identity Management Systems)
• Strong experience with Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)
• Hands-on knowledge of WS-Federation (WS-FED) protocol, especially in proxy configurations between MIDWAY and Exchange
• Strong understanding of identity federation and authentication protocols
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Exchange Online Admin Center.
• Proficiency in Power Shell scripting for mailbox administration, reporting, and automation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Office 365, EOP, MFA and Conditional Access.
• Experience in managing compliance features like retention policies, eDiscovery, and auditing.
• Knowledge of email routing protocols (SMTP, DNS, TLS), and security configurations (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).

• Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2019 installation and configuration
