The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering quality direct patient care to children, adolescent and adult patients hospitalized for treatment of psychiatric or emotional disorders. The LPN serves actively and constructively as a member of the multi‑disciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization and program or unit philosophy of care; ensures the safety and well‑being of each patient. Supervises the MHT’s as assigned.
Further contributes to nursing and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational efforts and Quality Management efforts.
- Current license to practice nursing in MS (or eligible to receive or renew).
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
- Required:
1‑2 years of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5‑65yrs+.
Required:
Associate in Nursing. Current license or permit to practice nursing in the state of MS. 1 year related experience.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Three to five years of related experience in behavioral health setting.
