Med/Surg | Registered Nurse | 8-Week Travel RN Contract – Flowood, MS Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Flowood, Mississippi

Travel to Flowood, Mississippi, for a rewarding Med/Surg RN assignment in a welcoming community setting near Jackson. Flowood, Mississippi (39232), offers a convenient and appealing location for a skilled Registered Nurse who enjoys teamwork, night shifts, and delivering high-quality bedside care in a supportive hospital environment. This 8-week travel nursing job is a strong fit for an experienced RN in a fast-paced acute care setting.

  • Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse
  • Employment Type: Travel Nursing
  • Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with alternating weekends
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
  • Start Date: 8/31/2026
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
  • Patient Ratio: Approximately 6:1
Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required;
    Med/Surg RN experience preferred
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experience using Cerner required
  • Ability to work night shift nursing schedules and alternating weekends
  • Ability to meet travel nurse assignment eligibility guidelines
  • Strong assessment, prioritization, clinical documentation, and communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct bedside care to adult Med/Surg patients in an acute care setting
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions throughout the shift
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Use Cerner for charting, clinical documentation, and patient care records
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes
  • Manage care for assigned patients while maintaining an efficient workflow in a busy hospital environment
