We are seeking a dependable, hands‑on Full‑Time Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily operations for our boutique candle and gift shop. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a creative retail environment, is detail‑oriented, dependable, enjoys both customer‑facing and behind‑the‑scenes work, and is excited to grow alongside a small business.
Hours:
9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional extra/weekend hours during busy seasons or as needed for coverage.

Responsibilities:Retail & Customer Experience
- Provide warm, elevated customer service on the sales floor
- Assist with daily opening and closing procedures
- Support sales goals and help maintain a beautiful, welcoming store environment
- Step in as lead when the owner is off‑site
- Lead and oversee candle production workflow
- Ensure production quality, consistency, and efficiency
- Manage all shipping, order fulfillment, and packing accuracy
- Help track inventory for candles, supplies, and retail goods
- Manage and oversee candle‑making classes
- Help prep materials, supplies, and space for classes
- Lead classes to ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience
- Support scheduling, setup, cleanup, and post‑class organization
- Help train and guide team members
- Oversee scheduling and daily task delegation
- Foster a positive, calm, and organized work environment
- Maintain brand standards across retail, production, and events
- Communicate any issues, needs, or improvements to the owner
- Represent the brand with professionalism and care at all times
- Retail, boutique, management or small business experience preferred but not required
- Comfortable leading tasks and supporting others
- Organized, reliable, and detail‑oriented
- Able to balance customer service with operational responsibilities
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting 50 lbs of wax into a melter
