A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for highly motivated EXPERIENCED LOADER OPERATORS to join our team in Lake Worth, FL! The Loader Operator’s primary function is to operate a Loader at the site of work to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building type structures; equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities- Operates a Loader to complete tasks such as move and/or transport materials such as dirt, rocks, and other types of aggregate.
- Must have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materials.
- May oil, grease, service, and make normal maintenance adjustments on equipment; perform daily safety and maintenance checks; complete paperwork and other documentation as needed.
- May perform other related duties as required.
- Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
- Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
- Thorough understanding of construction principles and methods.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co‑workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
- 2+ years of loader operating experience, preferably with roadways or bridges.
- Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand‑eye coordination.
