Job Summary:

A thriving healthcare organization near FLUSHING, NY, is actively seeking a skilled Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physician to join their team. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care by providing a full scope of primary care services.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
  • Review patient history, conduct physical examinations, and evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients.
  • Refer patients to specialists as needed.
  • Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.
  • Provide relationship-centered care, considering both psychosocial and physical needs.
• Clinical Skills:
  • Demonstrate quality clinical diagnostic skills in delivering patient care.
  • Review all test results and recommend suitable management, including preventive health recommendations.
• Record Keeping:
  • Collect and record patient information, maintaining complete and accurate medical records.
• Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure the total delivery of quality care.
• Professional Development:
  • Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or foreign equivalent.
• Completion of a three-year postgraduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine.
• Current, unrestricted New York State license.
• Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration.
• Active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or eligibility to enroll.
• BLS or ACLS required.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
