Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner Opportunity near FLUSHING, NY

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in cardiovascular medicine and imaging to collaborate with our cardiology physicians. Join our team to provide exceptional care for cardiac patients, including conducting, recording, and interpreting stress test results. This is a permanent position, and we invite applications from experienced Nurse Practitioners with a focus on cardiovascular health. Responsibilities:
Obtain and document patient history relevant to the chief complaint or reason for the visit. Conduct a comprehensive physical exam and evaluate patients, documenting pertinent findings. Provide care for adult patients with cardiovascular complaints and conditions. Conduct and supervise cardiac diagnostic testing. Order appropriate laboratory examinations or tests and interpret results. Establish a diagnosis of cardiovascular ailments, formulate a treatment plan, and assess the patient's response to therapy.

Diagnose and treat heart disease and manage chronic illnesses as part of a preventative maintenance program. Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular condition prevention and maintenance. Prescribe medications following New York State and federal law. Collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of patient care. Attend staff educational programs and meetings. Perform other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner:
Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN). Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner education program registered by the New York State Education Department. Minimum of 1-2 years' experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner treating cardiovascular medical conditions. Current Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a New York State-approved accrediting body (ANCC, AANP). Current, unencumbered New York State Nursing (RN) license.

Active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or eligibility to enroll. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Comfortable with the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and Microsoft Office. Job : j-201566
