Description:
Monday to Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (could be 9:15 AM to 5:15 PM based on department needs). Includes a 60-minute unpaid lunch break. LPN training with pediatric experience is a plus. High school diploma or GED is required. Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program is required. Previous charge experience is preferred. Charting system experience is required, preferably with Epic.
Experience in an outpatient clinic or urgent care center is beneficial. Responsibilities include obtaining and instructing clean catch urine samples, phlebotomy, telephone triage, monitoring vital signs, and medication reconciliation. Additional duties include follow-up phone calls, interpreting laboratory results, and conducting patient health questionnaires. Knowledge of pediatric conditions such as asthma, croup, and ear infections is essential. Candidates should be able to recognize signs of abuse and symptoms of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).
