Job Summary
Under general supervision, this position maintains custodial care to buildings located in the Nature Parks including Graham Creek Nature Preserve and Wolf Creek Park as required by State Health Inspections and City of Foley standards. Assists with event setups and breakdowns and provides support where needed. Assists with the inventory of janitorial supplies and notifies Administrative staff when supplies are needed.
Communicates needed work orders for repairs or issues discovered. Covers front desk of Interpretive Center when Administrative Assistant is absent, to include answering phones, greeting visitors and providing general park information. Reports to the Event Program Manager.
- Maintains custodial care to buildings located in the Nature Parks including Graham Creek Nature Preserve and Wolf Creek Park as required by State Health Inspections and City of Foley standards.
- Assists with various special events which may include holiday, weekend, and after normal business hours.
- Assists with setups and breakdowns for events while working as a part of a team.
- Cleans public and office bathrooms at Graham Creek Nature Preserve and Wolf Creek Park.
- Cleans Nature Parks and Environmental office areas to include labs.
- Cleans Nature Center daily to include cleaning and sanitizing water fountains, display cases, display items, informational areas, and educational areas.
- Covers front desk in the absence of the Administrative Assistant as needed.
- Greets park visitors and provides general information.
- Answers phone calls to answer general questions, routes to employees, or takes messages as needed.
- Receives and/or reviews information such as event calendar, set up sheets, supervisor instructions, safety data sheets, and daily work orders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or its equivalent and one (1) year of experience in a job related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

. The employees' health, vision, hearing and dental premiums are paid in full by the City. The City pays 50% of family coverage. The employee cost for family health, vision and hearing is $67.47 per semi-monthly deduction cycle and dental is $10.00 per semi-monthly deduction cycle. See enclosed booklets in your onboarding plan for coverage details. NOTE If family coverage is desired, 2 deductions must be made from check or paid in full prior to effective date of coverage.
The total monthly cost for family health and dental coverage is $154.94.
