Job Summary
The Foley Public Library is seeking a temporary part-time employee to assist with youth programming for our Tween and Teen demographics. This position will primarily support youth services staff in the preparation, execution, and conclusion of library events.
- Event set-up.
- Supervising activities and engaging with participants during programs.
- Handling post-event clean-up.
- Assisting staff with brainstorming and planning future library activities.
- Maintaining reliability, strong organizational skills, and a positive demeanor when working with middle and high school-aged youth.
Position hours are Monday-Thursday 2 pm-7 pm and Saturday 1 pm-5 pm.
Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or its equivalent and six (6) months of experience in a job related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Additional RequirementsSuccessful applicants must have a valid driver's license and pass a criminal background check (including driving record) and a pre-employment physical.
