Job OverviewJoin the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group at Alabama Service Center, a prominent Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) division within Collins Aerospace. This role focuses on providing precise financial analysis, supporting reporting processes, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Responsibilities- Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend solutions to optimize performance.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Follow accounting policies, procedures and control processes to ensure work aligns with standard definitions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement new data‑driven strategies.
- Manage database and coordinate with Shared Services for overdue bill collection and recovery actions.
- Provide ad‑hoc analysis tracking, measuring and reporting based on business needs.
- University degree (or advanced degree) and minimum 5 years (or 3 years for advanced degree) of relevant experience in accounting/finance across multiple disciplines (program finance, functional‑area finance, rates & budgets, material accounting, labor accounting, direct accounting, overhead accounting).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using WEBI, SAP, Business Analyzer, Access, Excel.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Six‑sigma, or CORE.
$86,800 – $165,200 per year.
