At Alabama Service Center, a prominent Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) division within Collins Aerospace, part of the RTX portfolio, we're driven by excellence and innovation. With annual sales nearing $150M, our MRO operates as a full profit and loss entity, with our finance team playing a critical role in managing P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
We are seeking a motivated professional to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) group. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering precise financial analysis and leveraging a variety of reporting tools to automate and enhance data collection and analysis processes. Beyond financial reporting, you will provide comprehensive support across a range of activities, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our operations.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend solutions to optimize performance.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Follows accounting policies and procedures and control processes to ensure work is as per standard defined.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement new data-driven strategies
- Database management
- Coordinates with Shared Services and advises on collection of overdue bills and takes appropriate action to recover overdue payments.
- Ad hoc analysis, tracking, measuring, reporting based on the needs of the Alabama Service Center, both within Ops and Finance.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Accounting/Finance experience in multiple disciplines (e.g., program finance, functional-area finance, rates & budgets, material accounting, labor accounting, direct accounting, and overhead accounting).
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience using any of the following systems: WEBI, SAP, Business Analyzer, Access, Excel.
- Possesses knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with continuous improvement such as Lean, Six sigma, or CORE.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
