Position Overview

South Alabama Hearing & Tinnitus Center is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Medical Office & Audiology Coordinator to support both front-office operations and clinical duties.

This is a hands‑on, dual‑role position ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day — welcoming patients, managing scheduling and insurance tasks, and assisting with in‑office clinical support. Audiology experience is not required; training will be provided. Prior healthcare or medical office experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients in a professional, welcoming manner
  • Answer phones and manage appointment scheduling
  • Verify insurance benefits and collect payments
  • Coordinate follow‑ups and patient communication
Clinical & Audiology Support
  • Clean, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on hearing devices
  • Manage hearing aid inventory and manufacturer orders
  • Process manufacturer repair and warranty orders
  • Complete basic in‑office hearing aid repairs and maintenance
  • Document services accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment prior to patient appointments
  • Escort patients and assist with intake updates
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical, dental, or healthcare office preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Comfortable using electronic records systems and office technology
  • Professional, dependable, and eager to learn
  • Hours are Monday‑Friday 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
