Position OverviewSouth Alabama Hearing & Tinnitus Center is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Medical Office & Audiology Coordinator to support both front-office operations and clinical duties.
This is a hands‑on, dual‑role position ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day — welcoming patients, managing scheduling and insurance tasks, and assisting with in‑office clinical support. Audiology experience is not required; training will be provided. Prior healthcare or medical office experience is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and check in patients in a professional, welcoming manner
- Answer phones and manage appointment scheduling
- Verify insurance benefits and collect payments
- Coordinate follow‑ups and patient communication
- Clean, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on hearing devices
- Manage hearing aid inventory and manufacturer orders
- Process manufacturer repair and warranty orders
- Complete basic in‑office hearing aid repairs and maintenance
- Document services accurately in the electronic medical record
- Prepare and calibrate equipment prior to patient appointments
- Escort patients and assist with intake updates
- 2+ years of experience in a medical, dental, or healthcare office preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Comfortable using electronic records systems and office technology
- Professional, dependable, and eager to learn
- Hours are Monday‑Friday 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
