Summary
Under general supervision of the Regional Maintenance Manager, perform general maintenance tasks on equipment in the plant to ensure safe and proper operations daily.
EssentialJob Duties
- Responsible for following the budget guideline for the maintenance department.
- Responsible for scheduling and directing the maintenance and custodial staff.
- Responsible for creating and directing a preventative maintenance program with the ultimate goal of attaining a zero‑downtime environment.
- Responsible for maintaining adequate and organized parts inventory and sourcing the best overall pricing of the necessary parts and supplies.
- Ordering any needed parts for laundry facilities.
- Obtain approval from the Regional Maintenance Manager for orders over $1,000.
- Responsible for maintenance staff recruiting and training in all aspects of industrial maintenance.
- Responsible for obtaining/maintaining all licenses and permits associated with pressure vessels, backflow prev enters, wastewater discharge permits, and state‑required guidelines related to piping and equipment as needed.
- Responsible for managing the custodial function and staff. Ensure appropriate supplies are available at all times to clean the plant daily correctly.
- Responsible for on‑time startup and shutdown of the facility.
- Responsible for staff evaluations, recommendations, and guiding the maintenance staff to ensure continued career development.
- Responsible for following all company growth programs annually.
- Participate in safety meetings with the entire staff.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must possess strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills in Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulics, Steam, and Natural Gas Combustion.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, interpersonal and listening skills, and ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.
- Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations and excellent people skills.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret technical manuals.
- Demonstrate strong computer proficiency, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel), including typing skills and the ability to navigate through multiple computer systems.
