At Collins Aerospace, we are looking to fill a Mechanical Assembler I position to support our A220 aircraft technology in the OEM facility. The role is based at our Foley, AL location and requires you to work onsite during the 1st Shift (6:30am – 3:00pm, Monday – Friday).
What You Will Do- Assemble equipment and products according to engineering specifications.
- Perform all work with quality standards and safety procedures.
- Maintain inventory of products in workstations.
- Conduct quality checks, identify defects and document findings.
- Participate in compliance inspections and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Drill holes, install fasteners, rout and trim parts, apply primers and sealants.
- Follow detailed instructions and lift and carry up to 20lb.
- Work while standing for up to 8hours per day and perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational/technical education.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment.
- Self‑directed, action oriented, and able to work in a team environment.
- Relevant manufacturing, assembly, or construction/facilities experience.
