Job Title:Entry-Level Maintenance Technician

Job Type:Full-Time

Schedule:Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Vulcan is seeking an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to support plant operations through basic electrical and mechanical maintenance. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in a hands-on industrial environment.

• Pull and terminate wire and cable based on electrical drawings
• Run and bend rigid conduit
• Perform basic maintenance troubleshooting using mechanical principles
• Verify circuits are de-energized before beginning work
• Use a multi-meter to measure resistance, AC/DC voltage, and current
• Understand basic AC/DC motor control systems and circuitry
• Perform troubleshooting (shorts, open circuits, blown fuses, improper wiring)
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure a zero-energy state
• Disassemble and reassemble simple mechanical devices
• Use a computer or tablet (Windows operating system)

• Experience in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical work preferred
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety practices
• High School Diploma
• 1-2 years in tech school or 1-2 years with industrial electrician experience
• Can operate a manlift, run conduit and cloud-based systems.
