Job Title:Entry-Level Maintenance Technician

Schedule:Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job SummaryVulcan is seeking an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to support plant operations through basic electrical and mechanical maintenance. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in a hands-on industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Pull and terminate wire and cable based on electrical drawings
- Run and bend rigid conduit
- Perform basic maintenance troubleshooting using mechanical principles
- Verify circuits are de-energized before beginning work
- Use a multi-meter to measure resistance, AC/DC voltage, and current
- Understand basic AC/DC motor control systems and circuitry
- Perform troubleshooting (shorts, open circuits, blown fuses, improper wiring)
- Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure a zero-energy state
- Disassemble and reassemble simple mechanical devices
- Use a computer or tablet (Windows operating system)
- Experience in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical work preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety practices
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years in tech school or 1-2 years with industrial electrician experience
- Can operate a manlift, run conduit and cloud-based systems.
