Position Overview
Senior Quality Engineer – support the manufacture and delivery of advanced aircraft technology. Located onsite in Foley, AL. Relocation assistance available.
Responsibilities- Manage external and internal quality issues in a timely and professional manner; resolve critical issues in accordance with policy/procedure guidelines.
- Lead or participate in 8D, DIVE, preventive and corrective actions for internal non-conformances, product returns, supplier issues, customer complaints, and corrective action requests; provide clear and concise reports.
- Provide expertise and lead in process improvement tools and continuous improvement methods.
- Support collection and analysis of program quality data on top issues such as scrap, rework, and repair.
- Participate in program reviews of key metrics and strategic quality initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and audit inspection and test plans, standards, acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions.
- Identify and manage risk in product development, engineering changes, and work transfers using UPPAP core elements (PFMEA, MSA, process flow and control plans, etc.).
- Support completion of First Article Reviews.
- Participate in preparation for customer, third‑party regulatory, and internal audits.
- Coordinate preparation and management of Notification of Escapes with suppliers, internal manufacturing, and the customer.
- Facilitate investigation and elimination of causes of quality problems; follow‑up on corrective actions.
- Support development and evaluation of process capability, process control plans, analysis of out‑of‑control conditions, and process audits to improve process performance and capability.
- Participate in and lead Manufacturing Process Reviews.
- Execute organization initiatives such as Zero Defect Plan (ZDP).
- Travel up to 25% as required.
- University Degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience using APQP/PPAP core elements (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans).
- Experience supporting Quality Management System requirements (Non‑Conformity Metrics Management, Risk Analysis, Audit support).
- Preferred:
Six Sigma, Process Certification, Advanced Product Quality Planning, and Product Part Approval Process. - Experience in 8D, quality tools, 5 Whys, and SPC analysis.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and forecast to reach goals.
- Strong data analysis and presentation skills for leaders, customers, and peers.
- Experience interfacing with internal and external customers and all levels of personnel.
- AS9100 knowledge preferred.

Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
