Quality Inspector - 1st Shift

What You Will Do

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday 6:30 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.

• Inspect ship loose kits and perform kitting of parts.
• Perform detailed product inspections on in-process and finished goods, including First Article Inspections.
• Document characteristics of products accurately and with technical detail.
• Initiate quality notifications for any non-conforming products.
• Apply quality assurance procedures and requirements to the inspection of hardware and document reviews.
• Identify potential quality issues early and help prevent their occurrence.
• Communicate effectively with other Collins Aerospace personnel regarding any quality issues needing resolution.
• Monitor and utilize calibrated measuring instruments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work varying shifts or overtime as required.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience performing manufacturing or product inspections using blueprints and specifications.
• Experience performing measurements with precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.

• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
• Ability to utilize computer systems, input data, and retrieve information for inspections and configuration purposes.
• Ability to review documents and identify and resolve any errors or missing information.
• Experience using operating software such as SAP.
• 2+ years in an aerospace or similar inspection role.
