1st Shift: Monday – Friday 6:30A.M. – 3P.M. Ability to work varying shifts or overtime as required.
What You Will Do- Perform detailed product inspections on in-process and finished goods, including First Article inspections.
- Document product characteristics with technical detail.
- Initiate Quality Notifications for any non‑conforming products.
- Apply quality assurance procedures to inspection of hardware and document reviews.
- Identify potential quality issues early and help prevent their occurrence.
- Communicate effectively with Collins Aerospace personnel about quality issues needing resolution.
- Monitor and use calibrated measuring instruments.
- Safely perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma (or equivalent such as GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with at least 2years of relevant experience.
- Experience performing manufacturing or product inspections using blueprints and specifications.
- Experience performing measurements with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- At least 2years in an aerospace or similar inspection role.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages).
- Capability to use computer systems for data input and retrieval for inspections and configuration.
- Ability to review documents and identify and resolve errors or missing information.
- Experience with operating software including SAP.
