Job Summary
The Dairy & Freezer Clerk is responsible for maintaining the dairy and freezer sections by ensuring proper stocking, rotation, and product integrity. This role supports merchandising, inventory management, and compliance with food safety standards while delivering excellent service to Members. The Dairy & Freezer Clerk plays an essential role in keeping the department organized and efficient, contributing to the overall success of the perishables team.

- Ensure planogram integrity in dairy and freezer: stock products according to company planograms to maintain visual standards.
- Maintain cold chain and in‑stock accuracy: monitor temperature control and replenish low or missing items for freshness and availability.
- Execute proper product rotation: apply FIFO procedures to reduce waste and maintain quality.
- Conduct quality and date checks: regularly inspect products for expiration dates and condition, removing damaged or outdated items.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance: follow all food safety and sanitation standards; clean coolers, freezers, equipment, and shelving.
- Support product availability: monitor in‑stock levels and assist with replenishment efforts.
- Ensure accurate signage and pricing: verify items are correctly signed and priced.
- Support seasonal merchandising initiatives.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned and provide support across departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable full attendance.
- 1+ year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Email) preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Frequent standing and movement on hard surfaces. Regular lifting of up to 30 pounds; occasional heavier lifting with assistance. Exposure to temperature variations in refrigerated and freezer storage areas. Potential exposure to cleaning agents and frozen/dairy‑related allergens.
Pay TransparencyWe carefully consider a wide range of non‑discriminatory factors when determining salary. The pay range for this position starts at $16.50. Salaries vary depending on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
