Job Summary

Responsible for dispensing spectacles and other optical products to adults and children, working with prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists. This position advises and assists patients with various types of lenses and spectacle frames, including style, weight, and color. The pay range advertised for this position does not include additional compensation paid through our spiff program.

Member Interaction Responsibilities

  • Perform daily GOLD club standards: work as a team, deliver GOLD-Grand opening look, ensure all items are stocked and planograms are executed, maintain accurate signage, keep the area clean and organized, and know how to access and read production/financial performance reporting for the department.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
  • Verify order data entry, compare Rx to the original prescription from the doctor, ensuring all information entered in the system is accurate.
  • Complete proper order filing procedures, including filing the order under the correct ABC system in the store.
  • Deliver sales by providing excellent member service in person and over the phone, explaining exam fee procedures transparently.
  • Takes measurements, assures correct frame selection for Rx power, reads prescriptions on the lensometer, and communicates product readiness and order advancement.
  • Spends downtime engaging with members in front of Optical.
  • Maintain compliance with privacy and confidentiality policies, including HIPAA.
  • Provide support for member eyewear adjustments and repairs.
  • Assist Optical Manager with opening and closing procedures at the start and end of shift.
  • Collect accurate funds and process payments at the point of service.
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure regular, predictable, full attendance—an essential function of this job.
Qualifications
