Preschool Teacher

Folsom Educational Academy is looking for an experienced Preschool teacher who can also serve as Preschool Director for the academic year 2026-27.

A Preschool teacher at Folsom Educational Academy is responsible for fostering the academic, social, and emotional development of students. The teacher will implement a well‑rounded curriculum, utilizing varied instructional methods to engage and support students based on their strengths and areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Implementation:
  Teach and deliver lessons based on the curriculum set forth by the Folsom Educational Academy’s administration and governing Board, ensuring alignment with school standards.
• Lesson Planning:
  Develop both long and short-term instructional plans derived from assessments of student strengths and weaknesses.
• Varied Instruction:
  Use diverse and appropriate teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and ensure effective instruction for all students.
• Classroom Environment:
  Maintain a classroom that is conducive to learning by creating a positive and organized atmosphere.
• Record Keeping and Reporting:
  Keep accurate student records and make timely reports as required by school administration.
• Supervision & Extracurriculars:
  Supervise out-of-class activities and perform other duties as required by the principal, including overseeing extracurricular or special events.
• Instructional Materials:
  Provide input into the selection resources and instructional materials to enhance the learning experience.
• Collaboration:
  
  Coordinate and collaborate with other teachers and professional staff to optimize instructional strategies and student outcomes.
• Parent Communication:
  Hold parent conferences as needed to discuss student progress, address concerns, and provide support for students’ learning at home.
• Professional Development:
  Stay updated on significant developments in the educational field to ensure the maintenance of professional standards.
• Faculty Meetings & Training:
  Attend faculty meetings and in-service activities to contribute to and stay informed about school operations and initiatives.
• Resource Utilization:
  Effectively use instructional aides and other available resources to support student learning.
• Positive Representation:
  Promote a positive image of Folsom Educational Academy and uphold its standards of excellence in the classroom and the broader school community.
• Fully qualified preschool teacher meeting California state requirements.
• Program Director or Site Supervisor permit strongly preferred.
• Have at least 3 years experience as a lead teacher at a reputed preschool.
• Punctuality:
  Be punctual and reliable in the execution of duties, including classroom instruction, meetings, and assigned supervision duties.
• Professionalism:
  Maintain professional conduct and uphold the school’s values in all interactions with students, parents, and staff.
