The Opportunity
OverviewGlumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Authority to join our world-class Data Center Commissioning Team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a global leader in the construction space and get hands-on experience with Data Center projects in addition to exposure across all project types.
ResponsibilitiesAs a data center Commissioning Authority, you will lead and manage the commissioning process for assigned projects, including conducting field functional testing, creating checklists, documenting test results, and maintaining issue logs and reports. You will also participate in meetings, support project management tasks, follow internal procedures and industry standards, ensure safe work practices, and stay current through ongoing professional development. Regular travel to data center project sites is required, with up to 50% travel expected.
WhatYou Bring (Qualifications)
- A Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or a related field, or industry commensurate experience.
- 8+ years of related industry experience and 2+ years of experience in datacenter commissioning, operations or construction.
- PE license or Energy Management certifications (a plus).
- ANSI/ISO accredited commissioning certification (required for Commissioning Authority).
- Strong technical knowledge of datacenter electrical system design, operation, and instrumentation.
- Proficiency in project management, encompassing scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Exceptional client-facing, client relationship, and client management skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Data center Electrical systems commissioning experience.
- Utility and medium voltage electrical systems commissioning and/or testing experience (a plus).
- Infrared Thermography certification (a plus).
- Managing QA/QC processes (a plus).
- Ability to work autonomously and in team environments.
- Safety first mindset.
- Travel expectation up to 50%.

Location and TravelThis position is open to candidates based near any of Glumac’s U.S. office locations, including Irvine (Orange County), Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley in California;
Portland, Oregon;
Seattle, Washington; and Austin, Texas.
Regular travel to data center project sites is required, with up to 50% travel expected.
Life at Tetra TechThe Glumac Commissioning Team is a dedicated group focused on providing high-quality commissioning services. We have 30 full-time commissioning staff working on projects including data centers, ports, tunnels, energy/power systems, retro-commissioning, energy studies, measurement and verification, ongoing commissioning, and more. We work with clients from planning, to design, to move-in and beyond, bringing together owners, design teams, contractors, and building operators to support and achieve goals.
SalarySalary Range: $110,000 - $200,000
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the proposed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, actual role and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Glumac’s total compensation package for employees.
