At HDR’s Water Business Group, the Water/Wastewater Coordinator/EIT supports a range of drinking water and wastewater projects for municipalities, applying engineering and modeling techniques, preparing plans and specifications, and ensuring quality delivery to clients.
Responsibilities- Work under project engineers on the application of design engineering and modeling techniques for drinking water and wastewater projects.
- Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, perform analysis and study‑level reports, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and collaborate with clients to deliver projects.
- Conduct quality control reviews of completed deliverables as part of the quality assurance team.
- Perform condition assessment tasks.
- Execute assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
- Carry out other duties as needed.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without an EIT will be placed in a Design Coordinator role and will be expected to obtain the EIT for career progression.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D.
- Experience with Bluebeam PDF software.
- Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Local candidates preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Interest or experience in designing water/wastewater treatment facilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Micro Station.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

The compensation range for this position is $70,304.00 – $94,270.00 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
