The team collaborates across engineering, product, and business functions to define memory architectures that address evolving customer and industry needs while enabling future technology roadmaps.

The Product Architecture Engineer serves as a technical leader in defining and optimizing DRAM‑based solutions for emerging computing systems. This role develops deep expertise in memory technologies, system architectures, industry standards, and market trends to influence product strategy and customer adoption. The engineer works closely with customers, ecosystem partners, and internal development teams to create innovative memory solutions, define product requirements, and support successful deployment of new technologies.

• Develop a cross-disciplinary understanding of DRAM memory technologies, fabrication processes, system architectures, interconnects, signaling, power, performance, reliability, and cost tradeoffs to define optimized memory solutions.
• Collaborate with customers, system architects, and ecosystem partners to identify requirements, evaluate technology trends, analyze competitive solutions, and drive successful design‑in activities.
• Create product concepts, technical requirements, whitepapers, specifications, training materials, and other user documentation to support new memory technologies and intellectual property development.
• Represent Micron in industry standards organizations, technical conferences, and consortia while building strong relationships with customers and key technology partners.
• Apply AI‑assisted analysis and engineering tools to support technology evaluation, market insights, product planning, and technical decision‑making.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field..
• Demonstrated familiarity with memory architecture, DRAM technologies, and system‑level hardware design concepts.
• Experience evaluating hardware/software interactions, system requirements, and performance tradeoffs in complex computing environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill and present technical information to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast‑paced, multi‑functional engineering environments.

• Experience with datacenter, high‑performance computing, Artificial Intelligence, or advanced memory system architectures.
• Knowledge of memory interfaces, protocols, PHY design, signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and system interconnect technologies.
• Experience participating in industry standards groups, technical conferences, customer‑facing engineering activities, or technology consortia.
• Experience leveraging AI‑enabled tools, Artificial Intelligence technologies, or data‑driven engineering methodologies to improve analysis, innovation, and technical productivity.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full‑time position is:
$70,000.00 - $ a year

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
