About the Role
As an Analyst on the Global Equity Administration (GEA) team, you will play a key role in administering Gap Inc.’s global equity-based compensation programs. GEA is a small but highly impactful team that supports approximately 5,000 equity award recipients and ESPP participants across 13 countries. Our team operates with a collaborative, solutions-driven mindset —focused on “Do the right thing and own it, do it, done.”
This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide operational and analytical support for Gap Inc.’s global equity programs, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Processing Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) releases, Stock Option exercises, quarterly ESPP purchases, and other equity-related transactions.
- Partner cross-functionally to support program design, implementation, and process improvements.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences by participating in quarterly new-hire ESPP Q&A sessions, attending and hosting a table at field leadership conferences, and participating in company-wide webinars.
- Maintaining and updating our equity-related pages on our intranet.
- Participate in projects and assignments, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Generate and reconcile reports for Finance, Payroll, and HR; support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes.
- Ensure compliance with global tax, legal, and regulatory requirements related to equity compensation.
- Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Apply working knowledge of equity administration processes and procedures; identify and elevate potential issues proactively.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure seamless execution of equity transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive employee and company information.
- Support employee education and training on equity programs and tools.
- Required:
Equity Compensation Associate (ECA) certification or two years of experience in a similar in-house equity administration role. - Preferred:
Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Copilot; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP) required.
- Experience with equity administration platforms;
Equity Edge Online strongly preferred. - Knowledge of global mobility taxation and insider trading compliance.
- Familiarity with ESPP administration and related processes.
