Validation Test Technician( Rotational Shift

Job Title

Rotational Shift Day Swing Night Shift may change every month.

Folsom, CA

• Rotational Shift: Day, Swing, Night (may change every month)
• 8 hours per day
• 5 days per week

• Familiarity with computer server hardware architecture.
• Ability to assemble computer systems using various hardware components.
• Debug issues in computer system bring‑up.
• Flash BIOS, install operating systems (Windows/Linux), install firmware and drivers, disk partitioning, configure networks, and debug associated issues.
• Socket CPUs.
• Organize lab space and infrastructure for a given project, including network and power cabling, test benchrack setup, etc.
• Knowledge of test and measurement equipment: DMM, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, probe cables, etc.
• Working knowledge of BIOS and various firmware and drivers and their interaction with operating systems.
• Make configuration changes at BIOS/firmware level.
• Knowledge of scripting (Python, Shell, etc.).
• Modify test automation scripts.
• Set up test and measurement equipment for a given test.
• Triage test data and debug test setup/configuration related issues.

• Attention to detail and well organized.
• Analyze logs.
• Follow instructions clearly.
• Able to lift 35 lbs; may require shifting computers between racks.
• Reliable transportation; daily commute acceptable; 100% onsite work.
• Good attitude and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work in any shift as project demands.

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
