Part-Time RN - Ambulatory Surgery Center

Under the direction of the designated Nurse Manager, the Part‑Time Staff Nurse is responsible for professional, direct patient care. The Staff Nurse will utilize the nursing process within their scope of practice to assess, develop nursing diagnosis, develop plan of care, implement plan of care, monitor for effectiveness, and adjust appropriately, for patient’s plan of care. The Staff Nurse is responsible for care in areas assigned within the Surgery Center, as needed.

Depending on experience, the starting pay is between $60‑$62/hr the role is on an 8hr shift and a total of 32 hrs per week.

• Obtains and documents patient’s medical history and performs a physical assessment.
• Uses proper techniques and procedures according to accepted standards of practice and center policies and procedures.
• Applies dressings and assesses status.
• Safely uses medical equipment per manufacturer’s instructions for use.
• Inserts, assesses, or discontinues various catheters and tubes.
• Effectively organizes and avoids wasteful practices of time, equipment, and supplies.
• Observes universal precautions.
• Attends all required education.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing (Bilingual in Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin or Vietnamese preferred).
• RN or LVN with active license, no restrictions (license in appropriate state).
• One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• CPR, BLS, ACLS certification (as required by Center).
• Strong ethical and moral character references.
• Basic computer skills.
