Nurse Leader Pathway: Health Services Director Track

Program Overview

• Participate in HSDiT program for advancement opportunity
• Gain comprehensive understanding of managing a team as a Health Services Director
• Work under a current Health Services Director to gain on-the-job experience
• Complete an anticipated three-month training program without additional responsibilities during this period
• After completing the program, assignment could be any Health Services Director position or various management positions in Oakmont communities

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Minimum of six months in current position for Oakmont team members
• Prefer two (2) years of experience as a Licensed Nurse; one (1) year of experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
• California LVN or RN License in good standing
• Willingness to travel throughout the state during training and openness to relocation
• Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership; prior experience coaching or mentoring peers preferred
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to serve older adults
• Ability to patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals
• Proficient in basic computer systems
• Ability to learn electronic health records and other Company tools
• Able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents, families, and coworkers
• Must be coachable, highly motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to obtain and maintain valid First Aid and CPR
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests.

Demonstrates strong clinical leadership and interpersonal skills essential for managing health services and supporting older adults. Proficient in electronic health records and basic computer systems, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork.
