Back up Receiver

The Backup Receiver is responsible for all functions and paperwork receiving. This includes operating machinery such as baler, compactor, and forklift safely; handling receipts and paperwork; maximizing sales potential through proper receiving procedures; and maintaining cleanliness of the receiving area. This position works in a fast‑paced environment.

• Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that can change as the business requires, including weekends and holidays.
• Report any receiving discrepancies to Managers and Buyers to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance.
• Attend all applicable trainings and be able to use or be certified in the use of appropriate equipment; comply with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members and store leadership; ability to communicate with service vendors.
• Must be able to lift and move product weighing up to 60 lbs. and up to 30 feet for up to 30 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Must use pallet jack to horizontally transfer product weighing up to 1000 lbs. requiring force up to 50 lbs. over a distance up to 150 feet for up to 40 hours.
• Vision required for reviewing invoices and monitoring incoming product.
• Ability to perform simple math operations and multi‑task, understand proper retail receiving, and basic computer knowledge.
• Able to execute other duties as needed.

The pay range for this position is $17.20 - $23.20 per hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
