As a Cloud Software Development Engineer, you will be at the forefront of technological innovation, identifying opportunities and designing, developing, validating, and debugging software that enables Intel hardware features for cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premises deployment models. You'll leverage your expertise in partner software stacks to optimize full-stack software spanning Operating Systems, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, and applications.

• Develop reference cloud platform software that sets industry standards
• Enhance customer designs to extract maximum value from Intel products within cloud environments
• Specialize in cutting-edge technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and open-source development projects
• Work with world-class experts to identify, develop, and upstream x86 architecture optimizations into cloud open-source software
• Benchmark workloads at scale and analyze performance using advanced tools
• Design and implement differentiated scalable solutions that improve performance utilizing Intel architecture features

Technical Impact:

• Identify, develop, and upstream Intel architecture optimizations into cloud open-source software spanning relational databases, No
  
  SQL, data streaming services, and other open-source projects
• Benchmark workloads at scale and analyze performance using advanced tools
• Design and implement differentiated scalable solutions to improve performance utilizing Intel architecture features

• Design, implement, and upstream solutions into Relational Databases, No
  
  SQL, data streaming services, and other open-source projects
• Collaborate with industry leaders to push the boundaries of what's possible in cloud computing

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM related field
• 5+ years of relevant work experience including software development with a proven track record of pushing software to production
• 1+ years of experience in/with:
• Experience in Java, C++, or other high-level languages with cloud integration and cloud-native development frameworks
• Experience in architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems in large-scale cloud-native services with deep domain expertise in data management platforms
• Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure software or distributed systems in cloud-native environments, preferably leveraging containerization, serverless architectures, and managed cloud services

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree or higher
• Expertise with modern cloud data platforms such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, Redshift, Dynamo
  
  DB, Microsoft Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Google Cloud SQL, Big Query, Oracle Autonomous Database, Snowflake, Databricks, Open Search, Redis, Mongo
  
  DB Atlas, and/or other Vector Databases
• Experience with event streaming platform such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink
• Experience communicating with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, translate them to software features, and create technical designs
