Game Tester Tester I - Semiconductor Product Validation
UST is searching for a Game Tester who will document test results and contribute to continuous process improvement. This role focuses on testing semiconductor product validation for PC platforms and related subsystems.
Responsibilities- Execute detailed test cases for PC platforms and sub-systems to ensure functionality and stability.
- Identify, triage, and report bugs accurately using tools such as Jira, HSD, or VSO.
- Take ownership of reported issues and follow them through to resolution.
- Validate and enable new features on platforms and operating systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to verify and close defects.
- Support testing across various hardware configurations and system components.
- 1+ years of hands‑on experience in testing or validation, preferably in PC or gaming environments.
- Strong understanding of PC platform and motherboard architecture.
- Knowledge of peripherals and components: PCIe, USB, USB‑C, TBT, SATA, PCH, ICH, BIOS, UEFI, RAM, CPU, GPU.
- Familiarity with system power states (ACPI – S‑states, C‑states, D‑states).
- Experience working with drivers and firmware, including deployment and validation.
- Exposure to subsystems such as multimedia, communications, and sensors.
- Solid understanding of Windows OS and related platform integrations.
- Ability to triage issues across Platform / Ingredient / OS layers.
- Experience with bug lifecycle management and tools such as Jira, HSD, or VSO.
- Ability to lift 25–40 lbs as part of system setup and testing.
- Basic proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated test frameworks or scripting utilities.
- Knowledge of game development or testing environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.

Compensation Range$44,000–$66,000
BenefitsFull‑time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro‑rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
