Accounts Payable Manager

Responsibilities

Kforce's client near the Fond du Lac, WI area is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager. This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role within a well-established finance team, where you'll oversee the day-to-day Accounts Payable function and help shape a high-performing AP team supporting U.S. operations.

• Take ownership of the AP function, ensuring processes run smoothly, accurately, and in line with internal controls.
• Serve as a go-to resource for resolving escalations and driving timely issue resolution.
• Partner across departments and build strong relationships with both internal teams and external vendors.
• Monitor and reconcile AP‑related accounts, ensuring accuracy across financial reporting.
• Support month‑end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Play a key role in sales/use tax processes and assist during audits.
• Contribute to cash flow forecasting and broader financial planning efforts.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Coach and develop the AP team, helping elevate overall performance.

• Background in Accounting or Finance (Associate's required, Bachelor's preferred).
• Someone comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment.
• A hands‑on leader who can mentor a team while driving accountability.
• Strong ERP experience (Oracle is a plus) and solid Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of sales and use tax, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

• Prior leadership experience.
• Exposure to procure‑to‑pay processes.
• General accounting experience beyond AP.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
