Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Accounting professional to oversee financial operations, accounting processes, and a small accounting team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction accounting, job costing, financial reporting, and GAAP
.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee GL, AP, AR, payroll, inventory, and construction job costing
• Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports
• Manage cash flow, short-term debt, bank covenants, and financial controls
• Oversee multi-state sales/use, property, and payroll tax filings
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation, insurance, benefits, and accounting systems
• Review customer contracts and support financial/compliance requirements
• Manage sales reporting, commissions, and accounting team operations
• Coordinate with external tax, audit, insurance, and benefits providers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
• 4-7 years of construction industry accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction cost accounting
• Experience with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently manage priorities and lead an accounting team
