Administrative And Clerical Support

Provides administrative and clerical support for various corps operations, including answering phone, typing and data entry, special projects, and seasonal activities.

  • Assists with the daily opening and routing of incoming mail and prepares and sends outgoing mail. Performs daily administrative and clerical functions including data entry, typing, filing, photocopying, bulk mailings, etc.
  • Serves as backup to the receptionist, answering and routing calls using multi-line phone system. Relays messages as necessary.
  • Assists the Corps Officers with monthly reports due to Divisional Headquarters, seasonal publications and/or applications for community events.
  • Works closely with Corps Officers to assist in the preparation of financial items to be sent to Regional Accounting at Divisional Headquarters, as well as deposits, grant proposals, follow-up reports, etc.
  • Recruit, schedule, train and set up volunteers for reception duties for regular office hours and beyond during seasonal events and projects.

The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Certifications:

Must have a valid driver's license and be able to be insured by TSA's insurance carrier.

Experience:

One year experience in a clerical support role preferred

Skills:

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs and e-mail. Good data entry skills.
• Ability to use standard office equipment.
• Good oral and written communication skills, including good grammar skills.
• Digital dexterity, proficiency in typing, 40 WPM preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently at times and work as part of a team.
• Good organizational skills, ability to work efficiently, and good attention to detail.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.

Compensation: $/hour, based on experience.

Part-time employees with a regular work schedule of 20-29 hours per week are eligible for voluntary life benefits, prorated holiday pay and prorated paid time off.
