Position Overview :

As part of the talented Customer Experience team, you will support the Customer Experience team in improving experiences that positively impact Mercury Marine dealers, consumers, technicians, and internal stakeholders. This internship provides hands-on exposure to experience design, design thinking methodologies, communications, analytics and insights, training programs, and digital experience initiatives.

The intern will work closely with Experience Management team members to assist with research, workshop facilitation, communication development, project coordination, and content creation for internal processes and platforms such as our B2B Purchasing Portal and Technician Learning Program. This role is ideal for a student interested in business, marketing, communications, customer experience, organizational development, or related fields who is eager to contribute to meaningful projects that enhance stakeholder experiences.

Essential Functions:

  • Support experience design projects by gathering information, documenting processes, and assisting with project deliverables.
  • Participate in design thinking workshops and experiences mapping experiences, including research, ideation, and journey mapping activities.
  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for experience improvements.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of communication materials, presentations, job aids, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer, dealer, technician, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Help coordinate meetings, workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagements, including scheduling, note-taking, and action item tracking.
  • Conduct research on customer experience best practices, industry trends, and emerging solutions.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and visual representations to communicate project findings and recommendations.
  • Support change management and communication activities associated with experience improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a Business Administration related field.
  • Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits
  • Availability to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) during the the months May through December of 2027.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
