Lakeland University seeks a diverse applicant pool for the position of Admissions Advisor at our MPTC Office in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The purpose of the position is to recruit adult degree seekers, graduate students, and high school students through various avenues and provide support for those prospects and their families as they progress through the college search, admissions, and enrollment processes.

Advise on academic planning, programs and requirements relevant to degree options available through traditional programming on the main campus. Promote and support university-wide initiatives related to the traditional student experience. Provide effective onboarding support to new students and establish strong working relationships with external stakeholders.

This position will serve the geographic area surrounding Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and will have an office at the University location in Moraine Park Technical College.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Recruit a diverse population of traditional undergraduate students through high school visits, participation in education fairs, consortiums, community and corporate recruitment functions, etc.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships including regular visits with local technical colleges, companies, and agencies to raise the profile of Lakeland University and increase enrollment
  • Communicate regularly with prospective students with the established communication flow.
  • Utilization and execution of functions within the university's CRM system (Slate) to assist admission's process
  • Refer prospective and current students to other campus and community resources as appropriate: faculty mentors, career counselors, financial aid advisors and other student serve representatives, other University office or personnel, and resources external to campus;
  • Actively support and contribute to work of the team, student success efforts, and the college mission, acknowledging the team as a whole is responsible for admissions, enrollment, and retention.
  • Advise prospective students by providing timely and accurate information about the degree options available through traditional programming, admissions and registration procedures, general education requirements, supporting and major course requirements for available programs of study, and rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the institution and provide insight on degree plans;
  • As requested by administration, participate in program planning, professional development activities, and collaborations with academic and administrative units to provide educational and support services promoting the recruitment, retention, and degree-completion of traditional students;

    Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited College or University.
